Illustrations show the letters "o" and "e" in the word "Mole" bouncing to the music. The word "Mole" moves to take its place in the title, "The Robot and Mr. Mole."
This is a robot. A drawing shows a strange metal man walking on a red rocky planet. He has big eyes and an antenna on his head. Earth floats in the sky in the background.
His nose is a cone. The robot's nose grows and shrinks.
His legs are made of hose. The robot wiggles his legs. They can spray liquid!
He falls into a hole. The robot grips the edge of the hole, but he slips!
Mr. Mole is in the hole. The robot is at the bottom. A mole pops up beside him! Mr. Mole waves hello.
"I can help," says Mr. Mole. The robot looks up and points. A light bulb appears over Mr. Mole's head.
"Go up this rope," says Mr. Mole. Mr. Mole has a rope with a hook. He throws the hook up.
"Thanks, Mr. Mole!" Says the robot. The robot grabs the rope and climbs up.
The End The storybook closes.
